Global Shapers Community

The Global Shapers Community is a network of over 400 city-based hubs led by young leaders between 20 and 35 years old who want to develop their leadership potential towards serving society. We currently have a community of more than 8,600 leaders in 150+ countries. Hubs undertake local projects to improve their communities and serve the UN Sustainable Development Targets.

Global Shapers are highly motivated individuals who have a great potential for future leadership roles in society. They are selected on the basis of their achievements, leadership potential, and commitment to make a difference.

The Palo Alto Hub

Our capable team includes young leaders from all walks of life, including tech professionals, founders, lawyers, students, teachers, doctors, and more. We are dedicated to helping Bay Area communities, residents and businesses become more sustainable, circular, equitable, resilient and skilled for the future. We are committed to creating a diverse community that unites and includes people from all backgrounds, fields, and perspectives.

The Palo Alto Hub meets officially once a month, with other optional events. Additionally, members work together to design impactful projects that benefit the local community and work together on broader initiatives with other hubs from around the world. We also foster and constantly expand partnerships.

Even though our hub is named after the city of Palo Alto, we are based in and serve the entire South Bay, including neighborhoods such as Stanford, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Cupertino and San Jose.
