Panel Discussion: Making the Business Case for Sustainability

  • Genentech, Bld 42 475 East Grand Avenue South San Francisco, CA, 94080 United States (map)

In August of this year, the Business Roundtable announced the release of a new Statement on the purpose of a corporation. It included "embracing sustainable practices across our businesses".

How can your company strengthen its competitiveness while simultaneously reducing its environmental impacts? Incremental cost-savings measures can be good for the bottom line and for the environment, but what about more ambitious ideas and comprehensive approaches such as full life-cycle design?

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs are multifaceted and can have lasting positive impacts. They can generate new income streams and cost savings through circular material management, access tax rebates, and meaningfully elevate employee productivity, creativity and satisfaction.

Join Global Shapers Palo Alto and GABA for a conversation about how different sustainability practices can make companies stronger. On the practical side, we will also discuss how you get your team behind an audacious transformational idea as well as how to best select, scale and maximize the impact of more incremental measures.
